At KIAL, Rajeev is responsible for the Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Investor Relations functions of the entire alternate assets practice of the Kotak Mahindra Group.
Rajeev brings with him a wealth of experience in dealing with the regulatory authorities and is well versed with fund structuring and compliance matters. Rajeev has been with the Kotak Mahindra Group for over 20 years during which he has held several senior management roles across different businesses. In his earlier roles, Rajeev was the Chief Operating Officer of the Institutional Equities business at Kotak Securities Limited, where he led Technology initiatives and also headed the Operations and Finance functions. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, the Investment Banking arm of the group where he managed finance and operations.
Rajeev is a certified Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is also a qualified Company Secretary.
Prior to joining KIAL, Hemal was Vice President – Finance, Saffron Asset Advisors, managing two real estate funds - one listed on the Euronext exchange in Amsterdam and the other, a private fund based out of Mauritius.
Hemal started his career with Hiranandani Developers Private Limited in Mumbai where he handled audit and tax for four years. He then moved to London and worked with Pauls Freight Services (PFS) Limited as Assistant Manager - Finance for two years, and subsequently joined the logistics business as General Manager of PFS Mauritius Limited. He also worked in Dubai as General Manager for PLUS971 FZE, an official distributor of Nokia mobiles based out of Dubai Airport Freezone.
Hemal is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, 1998) from India and is also a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, 2004) from London, UK.
At KIAL, Shrikant is responsible for Accounts and Operations for the Domestic Private Equity Funds.
Prior to joining KIAL, he was an integral part of other Kotak businesses such as Kotak Insurance and Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd. for 12 years.
Shrikant is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
At KIAL, Jaitra is involved in advising the firm on various legal, regulatory and tax aspects in connection with fund raising, investments, divestments and litigations.
Prior to joining KIAL, Jaitra worked as a Paralegal, thereafter an Associate and then a Senior Associate with AZB & Partners, one of India's leading law firms, for 11 years. Whilst with AZB & Partners, he was involved in various complex transactions in the private equity, M&A, banking & finance, project finance and infrastructure domains.
Jaitra has worked extensively on litigation matters ranging from securities-based litigation to civil litigation, including arbitration and writ petition. During his association with AZB & Partners, he was on a secondment for 8 months with a reputed international infrastructure fund house, which was a joint venture between a leading international bank and India's largest public sector bank.
Jaitra is a qualified lawyer having graduated in 2006 from Government Law College, Mumbai.
At KIAL, Mehul is responsible for the Accounts function as well as compliance and tax matters.
Prior to joining KIAL, Mehul was a part of the investment banking team at Kotak and was responsible for the Accounts, Taxation and Treasury functions.
Mehul is a Chartered Accountant.
Prior to joining KIAL, Ninad worked with the legal team at IIFL Holdings Limited (earlier India Infoline Limited), primarily on investment transactions.
Ninad is a graduate in Law and Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He is also an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
